for 1st shift (8am-4pm) Monday-Friday, Saturday rotation at our Pelion, SC facility.

Schedule:
1st shift (8am-4pm) Monday-Friday, Saturday rotation
Compensation:
$20.00/hr - $33.00/hr (competitive, based on experience)

Your Role:
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will maintain and repair machinery integral to plant operations at our Pelion processing facility. Support production by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment operates at peak efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Install, maintain, and repair production machines and plant equipment
Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during operations
Perform scheduled maintenance on production equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment and perform necessary repairs or replacements
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections for HVAC systems and other equipment
Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
Troubleshoot electrical problems, including 3-phase electrical systems
Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Weld and repair regular and stainless-steel equipment (a plus)
Install, troubleshoot, and repair motors and pumps
Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry tasks
Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
Detect and report faulty operations or defective materials
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations
What You Need to Succeed:
AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance required
High School diploma or GED required
Minimum 4 years of manufacturing production maintenance experience
2+ years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical skills
3-5 years apprenticeship under a journeyperson preferred
HVAC certification or associate degree from a technical school required
State HVAC technician license required
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Basic mathematical knowledge required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Work Environment:
Cold storage facility (36-40°F) for extended period
High noise levels in an industrial setting
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Heavy forklift traffic and moving industrial equipment
Standing, walking, stooping, and bending required on concrete flooring
Repetitive motion tasks required
