Morgan's
Position Summary
Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on all but not limited to amusement rides, mechanical equipment, utility systems, and buildings within the Wonderland, TX premises. Assists in performing minor and major repair of all grounds and attractions. Major repairs are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers. Rely on any documentation and other instructions provided by Facilities Maintenance Director to diagnose and fix any problems.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively green tag all amusement rides, and attractions before each shift to ensure the safety and security of our park guests.
Assist with maintaining the plumbing, and any plumbing issues that may arise throughout the premises of Wonderland, TX.
Safely maintain all equipment.
Effectively install and assemble equipment, perform periodic inspections and tune‑ups, and keep detailed records of activities within the provided work order forms.
Work with operating staff and other respective members to complete work order forms within a timely manner.
Responsible for testing all water quality in Morgan’s Inspiration Island and Morgan’s Wonderland to ensure quality levels are safe for our park guests.
Will ensure maintenance is done within the manufacturer guidelines.
Works closely with Facilities Maintenance Director to perform daily check lists, to complete work orders accordingly.
Perform inspection of the premises and ensure that any hazardous conditions are taken care of immediately.
Assist with construction or remodeling projects.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
Skills and Knowledge
1 to 2 years’ experience in electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.
Ability to read, and understand blueprints and mechanical schematics.
Common knowledge of troubleshooting a problem and the ability to problem‑solve issues to a desired outcome.
Knowledge of water quality testing, and the basic mechanics of water pumps work and how they are maintained.
Requirements and Experience
Must have experience working on small motors, mechanical equipment, utility systems, and amusement rides are a plus.
HVAC license or certification in electrical systems or plumbing preferred.
Must be able to lift 80 lbs, walk while carrying tools to different locations, and climb a ladder to multiple stories.
Completion of a CPO certification preferred.
Background check and drug test will be conducted upon employment offer.
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Working Conditions
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting upper body.
The work environment is an outdoor park environment with continuous outdoor activity and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Must remain alert with no lapses of consciousness.
Must be able to withstand walking/standing for long periods of time.
Continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate park staff attire.
