Job Description L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer with test experience, testing and installing circuit card assemblies, components, assemblies, and systems, troubleshooting, identifying components, suppliers for components, developing tests, and writing test procedures. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of test engineering, troubleshooting and be comfortable coordinating with cross fictional team members and external business partners.
Essential Functions Serve as a Test Engineer in all phases of testing in support of development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems and shipboard systems. Responsibilities will include:
Test, investigate failures, troubleshoot, and repair program unique circuit card assemblies
Perform test activities including writing test procedures, test planning, test conduct and test reporting
Troubleshoot and resolve test issues
Document and monitor test results
Analyze and select individual components and materials to meet system requirements
Identify and interface with suppliers for components and materials
Interface with the other engineering disciplines and cross functional teams to insure proper coordination of project, product, and system requirements
Work with external business partners to document and maintain Coordinated Interface requirements and Shipyard Installation Test Program (SITP) requirements
Work with other engineers to develop installation and checkout procedures for flight test instrumentation and shipboard systems
Contribute to and present during customer reviews
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
4+ years of direct experience as a Test Engineer
Preferred Additional Skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Familiarity with various testing techniques
Knowledge of quality standards and regulations
Good troubleshooting skills
Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and cabling diagrams
Special Requirements Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Security clearance are required for this position.
Pay and Benefits In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $90,500 - $168,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $79,000 - $146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company‑paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
