Primary purpose of the position is to ensure that customers are serviced in alignment with the Company’s core values and strategic anchors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This is a non-exempt contract/temp position covering an employee that will be out on medical leave. There will be a transition training period. The role incorporates the following duties:

Operating a Cash Register to accurately record customer sales and transactions

Counting / reconciling Cash Register to ensure accurate Opening and Closeout balances

Managing miscellaneous paperwork and incoming faxes

Assisting Customers in all departments

Answering telephones and directing calls to appropriate departments

Assisting others as needed

Keeping workspace and counter organized and free from clutter, and incorporating attractive and enticing displays of promotional products

Assist in preparing store for customers and daily opening and closing procedures

Clarifying customer discrepancies and managing customer complaints

Additional duties that may happen from time to time include, but may not be limited to:

Packaging bulk inventory

Returning misplaced inventory to proper display location

Recommending additional product lines through sister vendor

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Two or more years of relevant experience

Ability to effectively process and manage customer requests and purchases

Adherence to all safety laws.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Sits, stands, and walks around the majority of an eight hour day with some periodic bending, stooping and reaching required

Occasionally may be required to lift heavy items

Physically works indoors most of the time, with occasional outdoor work under various climate conditions

Analyzes issues and identifies possible solutions

Objectively and rationally makes business decisions

Excellent verbal and written skills

Computer literate; ability to effectively use MS Office software and other programs related to the industry and sales transactions

Performs basic math and writing functions.

Effectively interacts and communicates with all levels of employees and with outside vendors, agencies, associations, and emergency personnel.

SUPERVISION Does not directly supervise any employees.

OTHER DUTIES From time to time this position may require:

Refers customers to associated vendors
