Network Manager
to join our Technical Staffing Division for a contract to hire opportunity working onsite in Brunswick, GA. This is full time opportunity with benefits.
The Director of Network & Data Center Infrastructure provides strategic and operational leadership for the hospital’s enterprise network and virtual infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable network and data center services that support
24/7 clinical and patient care operations . The Director partners closely with IT leadership, cybersecurity teams, and clinical stakeholders to align infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and long‑term technology roadmaps.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Provide
strategic leadership
for enterprise network and data center virtual infrastructure, ensuring scalability, redundancy, performance, and security across all hospital facilities.
Lead, mentor, and develop
network engineering and infrastructure teams
supporting wired, wireless, remote access, and data center technologies.
Oversee the
design, implementation, and ongoing operations
of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, SD‑WAN, virtualization platforms, and storage networking across multiple campuses and data centers.
Ensure continuous compliance with
HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, Joint Commission standards , and industry cybersecurity best practices.
Collaborate with executive IT leadership, cybersecurity teams, and
clinical departments
to align infrastructure capabilities with patient care, operational efficiency, and digital health initiatives.
Lead large‑scale
network and data center modernization projects , including core switching upgrades, wireless refreshes, virtualization platform enhancements, and disaster recovery improvements.
Serve as the senior escalation point for
critical network and virtual infrastructure incidents , ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution for clinical systems.
Develop, document, and maintain
network and virtualization standards, policies, and operational procedures
to drive consistency and operational excellence.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, licensing, and
budget planning
for network, data center, and virtualization technologies.
Participate in hospital governance committees related to
cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology strategy .
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in
Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Master's degree preferred
Experience
Minimum
10 years of progressive experience
in IT infrastructure, networking, and data center operations
At least
5 years in a leadership or management role
within a hospital or healthcare IT environment
Hands‑on experience with
enterprise virtualization platforms
such as
VMware, Nutanix, and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V
Strong background in
storage networking and data center infrastructure
supporting mission‑critical systems
Certifications (Preferred)
Cisco CCNP or CCIE
Palo Alto PCNSE
or equivalent advanced security certification
ITIL and/or PMP
certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Expert‑level knowledge of
network architecture
including LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, and SD‑WAN
Deep understanding of
virtualized and data center infrastructure
design and operations
Strong leadership, team development, and
project management
capabilities
Solid working knowledge of
HIPAA, NIST, and healthcare cybersecurity frameworks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively with
clinical, operational, and executive leadership
Proven ability to manage complex, high‑availability environments in a
24/7 healthcare setting
