The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator is responsible for administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server infrastructure used to support enterprise‑wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the NITE.

Responsibilities include:

Microsoft Windows server administration, managing GPOs, DHCP reservations, patching, and STIG compliance.

Authoring standard operating procedures and training junior personnel.

Performing Tier 2 technical support.

Maintaining local, worldwide, and VPN networks.

Planning, evaluating, and coordinating hardware and software installations and reconfigurations.

Preparing and ensuring appropriate network documentation, operational instructions, and regular monitoring.

Coordinating third‑party maintenance and designing network portions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or

7 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or

4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate, or

High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

Security+ or equivalent certification.

Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret security clearance.

Preferred Requirements

Experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM.

Experience with Windows Servers 2016/2019 and Active Directory.

Experience digesting and implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).

Experience with patching Microsoft servers and workstations.

Experience with VMware and VDI technologies.

Strong technical troubleshooting, detail orientation, and customer focus.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Linux+ or Microsoft certification preferred.

Physical Requirements Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of this family.
