Job Summary The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort. Performs duties within the construct of a unit‑based, self‑directed, multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non‑licensed members. Performs general clerical and reception duties according to the needs of the patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into the computerized patient care system.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post‑secondary education or at least one year of work experience.
Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
