Sole Hire, LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Adjunct Welding Instructor to deliver hands‑on and classroom instruction within a Welding Technology program. This role focuses on preparing students for careers in welding and metal fabrication through practical skill development, safety awareness, and industry‑aligned instruction.
Position Overview The Adjunct Welding Instructor is responsible for teaching core welding processes and supporting student mastery of technical and safety standards. The instructor will foster an engaging learning environment that emphasizes hands‑on practice, certification readiness, and workforce preparedness.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective instruction in welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW
Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and lab demonstrations aligned with program objectives and safety standards
Provide hands‑on instruction and supervision in a lab/shop setting
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress
Support students in achieving certification benchmarks, including AWS‑related standards
Ensure a safe, clean, and well‑organized lab/shop environment
Participate in meetings, trainings, and curriculum development activities as required
Perform other instructional or administrative duties as assigned
Requirements Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Welding Technology or a related field preferred, or documented journey‑level status with significant industry experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands‑on industry experience in welding or metal fabrication required
Teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred (instructor certification a plus)
AWS Certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain within one year of hire
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Commitment to student success and experiential, hands‑on learning
Work Schedule Flexible schedule, may include daytime and/or evening courses based on program needs
