What You’ll Do

Ensure Quality Control Conduct routine testing of in‑process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival on the job site. Adhere to ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT testing methods.

Customer Service Manage customer relationships at the jobsite level. Provide jobsite service and first‑line technical support, including quality control, safety, and environmental oversight. Coordinate and attend pre‑pour meetings, and communicate test results timely to supervisors and in databases.

Maintain Lab Standards Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab, troubleshoot problems, review basic product specifications, and inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.

Products Promote Vulcan RMC value‑added products, including specialty chemicals, fibers, and color concrete.

Communication Communicate customer and market information to the sales team.

Additional Responsibilities Other duties as assigned.

Skills You’ll Need

Experience Prior training or experience in the materials testing field is preferred. Knowledge of general principles and practices of aggregate production is preferred.

Safety Knowledge Must display knowledge and awareness of construction and mining site hazards.

Math Skills Must possess good math skills and demonstrate the ability to perform simple to moderately complex arithmetic calculations.

Technology Skills Must have the ability to use computerized equipment and technology. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Oracle Business Environment, and other relevant software packages.

Hourly Range The hourly range for this role is between $20.80 and $26.40. This range does not include discretionary bonus or equity package. Compensation is determined based on skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
