Maintenance Mechanic I

Summary Maintenance Technician must be flexible and respond to growing and changing needs of the company including but not limited to regular standby assignments and work scheduled off-hours due to business needs. Our technicians perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the plant’s business goals and objectives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
Maintain a provider/customer relationship with production team
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Diagnoses problems replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Completes work orders, carrying preventative maintenance schedules, and installing new equipment.
Performs minor and major repairs on plant equipment in the production facility.
Completes PM’s within the production facility on various equipment, i.e. including but not limited to Air Supply, Waste Water, Water Supply, Air Handling Systems, and production equipment.
Performs as required skilled maintenance activities to include but not limited to construction, and plumbing. Painting.
Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
Performs other projects and or duties as assigned.
Able to be on call for emergency situations. Day or night.
Assist with maintenance improvement projects
Maintain the upkeep and repair of the property and grounds
Perform work order requests
Working with power tools like but not limited to grinders, drills, skill saws…
Able to be on call in emergency situations,
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of screw conveyors, and gearboxes.
Industrial plant safety practices.
Education & Experience Level
High School Diploma or GED required
