The technician will achieve this by evaluating, enhancing, and ensuring the accessibility of digital technologies and content. This includes course materials, websites, and online resources. The technician will do this observing established accessibility standards, such as WCAG, and legal requirements. This role is crucial in helping the institution meet the diverse needs of the CNM community.**Duties & Responsibilities**### Indirect student service through collaboration with faculty, staff, IT, and institutional support:* Under departmental direction, works closely with faculty to review, assess, and provide basic accessibility remediation for inaccessible course content or textbooks.* Review captioned content for accuracy.* Escalate inaccurate content for professional captions or provide direct captioning of short content items as directed.* Deliver accessibility-related workshops to faculty and staff under departmental direction.* Create and present material for faculty and staff on best practices based on quality standards for WCAG/accessibility* Proctor and provide recommendations on latest educational technologies and use this information to develop training opportunities for the CNM community.* Participate in developing online self-help resources, website content, paper guides, workshops, presentations, and other support resources related to accessibility.### Direct student accommodation support, as needed:* Provide information access to course content through notes for all live course activities.
