About the Role
Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management industry, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1, you will be part of the Data Center Operations supporting the technical infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong problem‑solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

$25 - $28 per hour
Contract Length:
18 months on W2
Regular Business Hours:
Monday–Friday
What’s the Job?
Remove network cables as part of datacenter decommissioning
Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
Perform DBD (data‑bearing device) removal only (no scanning involved)
Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment, with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads
Prepare, stage, set up, and conduct basic startups and shutdowns for hardware using written instructions, checklists, and standard procedures
Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets
What’s Needed?
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Flexibility to work non‑standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
0–2 years of experience in a related field.
