VORTEQ is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments of raw material and/or products. A successful clerk should have a strong eye for detail, be good with numbers, and a superior multitasker. Must also ensure efficient processes to promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies that arise during the shipping and receiving process. Responsibilities include managing all the parts or products, including recording new items in their stock room(s). They track each item as it enters the warehouse.

This is a permanent position that would start training ASAP.

SUMMARY Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Responsibilities include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new items come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory.

Maintains schedule for shipping and receiving

Prepares sales orders pulls, sends packing slips and BOLs

Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems

Troubleshoot shipping and/or inventory issues and customer complaints that arise

Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts

Perform all duties to the safety standards established as they relate to the position

Office setting located directly off warehouse/manufacturing plant environment

Large machinery with moving parts as well as forklift traffic and material storage

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School or equivalent

Prior warehouse experience preferred

2 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday, Saturdays if needed

7:00am-5:00pm

PAY

$20.00 - $23.00 Hourly (based on experience)
