Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a
Mammography Technologist
to join our
Pflugerville Clinic (MOB)
Imaging team. This
weekday-only clinic position
offers a consistent
Monday-Friday, 8-5 schedule
with no nights or weekends, making it ideal for technologists seeking work-life balance in an outpatient setting. As a
Mammography Technologist , you will perform high-quality breast imaging exams while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in accordance with MQSA, ACR, and Baylor Scott & White standards. What You’ll Do
Perform
screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
according to established protocols.
Ensure proper patient positioning, compression, exposure, and image quality for accurate interpretation.
Use
AIDET communication
to explain procedures, reduce patient anxiety, and provide a positive experience.
Prepare patients and equipment for exams while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.
Follow all
radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique
guidelines.
Maintain mammography equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Verify requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding, and consent documentation.
Accurately document exams and maintain imaging records in
PACS and EMR systems
.
Support clinic workflow by minimizing wait times and maintaining professional service standards.
Serve as a
preceptor or trainer
for new team members as needed.
Participate in
call coverage , if required.
Key Success Factors
Ability to independently perform
high-quality mammography exams
in a clinic setting.
Strong understanding of breast anatomy, positioning, and MQSA requirements.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient during busy clinic hours.
Commitment to patient safety, image quality, and customer satisfaction.
Willingness to stay current with continuing education and best practices in breast imaging.

Education
- Grad of an Accredited Program
Experience
- Less than 1 Year of Experience
Certification / License / Registration ARRT-M Mammography (ARRT-M) ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R) Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer. Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
