Overview
Integrate emergency care for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the processes of care.
Responsibilities
Utilizes the nursing process in caring for all patients, to include: assessing symptoms, planning interventions, implementing treatment plans, evaluating responses to interventions, and revising plan based on overall effectiveness.
Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide age‑appropriate care to the population served.
Adheres to the established practice standards and procedures at New London Hospital, in the administration of all medications and in‑patient care activities.
Documents care provided using hospital standards.
Provides education to patients and families based on assessment of learning needs.
Follows the Standards of Practice established for the Emergency Services Department.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum 2 years of clinical practice required.
ED experience preferred.
Required Licensure/Certifications
Licensed RN with NH eligibility
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
FTE/Hours per pay period: 0.90 – 36 hrs/per week
Shift: Evening
