The Recreation Therapist

is an important member of Peachford Hospital’s inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Activity Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Peachford’s inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities

Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals

Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings

Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a creative arts therapy modality (art, music, dance), mental health counseling, or in a related field required

Recreation Therapy, Art Therapy or other expressive art certification preferred
