What You'll Do
Work in various roles within operations team to learn equipment, processes and procedures from start to finish.
Monitor and analyze Melt Shop processes to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, and quality
Develop and implement process control strategies for steel melting and refining operations
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate process documentation
Support capital projects and process upgrades
Train and mentor operators on process improvements and best practices
Participate in root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions
What You'll Need
2+ years experience working with the Melt Shop process
Experienced with data softwares such as Power BI, SQL, and Python
Experience with Automation Design
SAP experience strongly preferred
Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, and Microsoft Project
Shows a safety-first mindset; recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others
Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges
Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a "get it right the first time" mindset
Your Education
Bachelor's Degree in Meteallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
