**Pay Range:** $30+ DOE**Description:**Florida Express Waste & Recycling is looking for a **safety-conscious Diesel Mechanic** to join our team in **Ocala, FL**. This position is responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services on diesel trucks and equipment.* Diagnose issues using vehicle computer electronics systems and initiate or assign repairs.* Conduct safety checks and inspections on vehicles and equipment.* Complete required documentation using fleet maintenance software, including parts usage and repair time tracking.* Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).* Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards.**Schedule:*** **Monday–Friday**, with occasional **Saturdays as needed****Working Conditions & Physical Effort:*** Ability to lift **50 lbs repeatedly** throughout the day.* Work is performed **outdoors in all weather conditions**.* Exposure to **moving mechanical parts**, **fumes**, **vibration**, and **moderate noise**.* Must follow all **basic safety precautions**.**Minimum Requirements:*** **2+ years of diesel mechanic experience** preferred.* Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.* Familiarity with fleet maintenance software and vehicle inspection protocols.* Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.* Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and outdoors year-round.**What We Offer:*** Competitive pay* Family benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision* Flexible Spending Account* Long-Term Disability & Life Insurance* 401(k) Retirement Plan* Paid Vacation* Year-round job stability* Supportive management team#ACMaintenance**Apply Today and Connect with Your Future!**Waste Connections is an **Equal Opportunity Employer**.
