Responsibilities - Licensed Physical Therapist
Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
Provide hands‑on physical therapy to patients using a variety of techniques, including Joint Mobilization
Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and home care strategies
Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in the field of physical therapy and incorporate new techniques into practice
Participate in marketing programs that educate patients on specific problems
Participate in key metric setting and follow up with goals set with colleagues

Responsibilities - Certified Athletic Trainer
Practice the profession within the parameters of the Missouri Athletic Trainers Licensing Law as laid out by the Missouri Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners, and follow both the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association.
These duties are based on the needs of the school and its athletic programs. The athletic trainer’s duties, enumerated in this document, should not be considered all inclusive. The Athletic Director and BOOST Regional Director, as necessary, shall modify duties.
Be present at home athletic contests and practices and attend other post‑season and home‑hosted contests as directed by the contract and Athletic Director.
Establish an effective athletic training program for high school athletics.
Provide 1st aid and injury assessment/treatment/rehabilitation/reconditioning for Richmond SD student‑athletes.
The athletic trainer will also be responsible for making appropriate physician referrals.
Coordinate the annual required athletic physicals and supervise the clearance of injured athletes prior to and during the sport seasons.
Maintain a line of communication with the team physician(s) regarding athletic health care and recommended treatment/rehabilitation for all athletic injuries. Assist coaching staff in evaluating and implementing sport specific conditioning programs and methods.
Maintain an effective and efficient athletic training room. Maintain communication with parents on the care & treatment of their student‑athlete.
File all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents. Maintain a daily treatment log.
Oversee the ordering of supplies and equipment pertaining to the athletic training room and maintain an up‑to‑date inventory.
Provide the Athletic Director with an annual budget for supplies and equipment. Equip each team with appropriate medical equipment.
Assist in the selection and fitting of protective equipment, including special taping, pads or braces. Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
Share professional literature relative to athletic training with the school’s coaching staff.
The athletic trainer will work in accordance with a weekly schedule to be determined by the Athletic Director and BOOST Regional Director. Weekly schedules will vary according to the athletic season.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications - Licensed Physical Therapist
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist or from participating compact state
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Experience working in orthopedics or sports preferred
Specialized knowledge or experience in pediatrics/youth athletes is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications – Certified Athletic Trainer
Athletic Trainer Certification
Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. Maintain current state licensure in accordance with the Missouri Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners
Maintain current certification in CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care.
