Welding Job Duties
Safely and effectively operates TIG/MIG Welder to industry standards
Reading blueprints, shop drawings and other instructions to assemble accurately and within tolerance
Identify/perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programs
Operate/observe robots to detect malfunctions or non-conformances and conduct quality checks to ensure the finish of parts and components is of the highest standard
Assist in developing new additive manufacturing procedures
Inspect materials to ensure that they meet specifications for size, shape and consistency
Safely utilizes various metal shop tools including angle grinder component parts per engineering specifications
Skilled at assessing repair viability of damaged or broken parts and repairing or repurposing as needed
Manages workflow to ensure a clean and organized workplace
Cleans and organizes daily, or as needed to keep and maintain an organized and functional workplace
Collaborating with other department leaders regarding work progress, problems, or other issues that arise during the workday that could assist in completing production orders on time
Complying with internal policies and industry regulations
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational technical school
1–2 years prior production shop experience complimentary but not required
TIG welding skills not required but a plus
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to read engineered drawings
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Hours: Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with possible overtime if required.
