Focus on throughput and efficiency - deploying clinical staff needed. Effectively evaluate and lead clinical caregivers. Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees, providers, hospital departments, and the public. Assist Medical Assistants as necessary.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:In addition to the responsibilities of the Medical Assistant position, the Patient Navigator will routinely:* Order supplies* Facilitate quality initiatives and tracking* Perform patient outreach* Monitor and act on necessary items in the clinical pools* Assist with any management-delegated duties, as needed**Requirements:*** Previous work as a Medical Assistant with demonstrated leadership qualities.* Knowledge of medical practice to assist in patient care.* Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.* Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.* Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.**Education:*** High school diploma or GED required.
