Job Summary
Performs periodic and required maintenance and repairs on all company property and equipment to maintain production, quality and safety.
Physical Requirements Stand or sit (stationary), walk, use fingers to handle or feel, climb (stairs/ladders) or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk/hear, see, push or pull, reach, repetitive motion. Medium/Heavy work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, or constantly to move objects.
Responsibilities
Schedules periodic and required maintenance and repairs on all company property and equipment as directed by operations manager, including but not limited to welding, electrical, vehicle and machinery repair.
Maintains and performs facility repairs.
Prepares and maintains all work orders, relating to preventative and routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, company property, and building repairs.
Performs routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or other preventive maintenance actions.
Inspects, operates, or tests machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Adjusts functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments or electrical/electronic testing devices.
Orders parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
Inspects mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
Replaces worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
Inspects mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
Tests mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Adjusts equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or Technical School Degree with appropriate mechanical and electrical skills.
2-5 years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive knowledge of equipment and automotive repair.
