is committed to providing high‑quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism and related developmental challenges. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Intake/Authorizations Coordinator to join our team and help us complete a high volume of new client intakes.
Job Overview The ABA Intake and Authorizations Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the intake process for new clients seeking ABA services. This position serves as the primary contact for referrals, ensuring clients meet service eligibility and have a smooth onboarding experience. The role emphasizes customer service, effective communication, and multitasking to support the overall success of the team and the organization’s mission to assist individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
Key Responsibilities
Answer phone calls from families and handle new referrals received from our referral sources
Check insurance eligibility
Submit and track insurance authorizations
Collaborate with other team members such as the Client Care Coordinator and Recruiter to ensure that staffing and session coordination is a seamless process
Handle client issues with sensitivity and adhere to HIPAA requirements
Collect and submit documents from families to the insurance company
Maintain contact with families throughout the entire intake process
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in customer service‑related field is a plus
Proven experience in customer service or client‑facing role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and team members
Experience in insurance authorizations
Experience in the ABA field is a plus
Experience with the use of Central Reach and Monday.com is a plus
Compensation and Location Base pay range: $45,000 – $55,000 per year.
