Arkville Head Start Lead Teacher/Center Director

Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher/Center Director for the Arkville Head Start Center. This position is responsible for planning and conducting a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom program that meets Head Start Performance Standards, best practices in early childhood education, and the needs of individual children and the group.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching young children Valid NYS driver’s license Personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursed)
Schedule & Pay: Full-time, 40 hours per week Salary: $22.20-26.48 per hour
Responsibilities: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities Utilize staff, parents, and volunteers effectively within the classroom Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and early childhood best practices Support individual child development while managing group needs Maintain required classroom documentation and records Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development Perform related duties as assigned Health, dental, and vision insurance Flexible spending account Employee assistance program Paid time off
