Description The BTC Senior Immigration Manager (Global) oversees Apple’s short‑term business traveler population as part of the Business Traveler Compliance (BTC) Team, ensuring compliance with global immigration and labor laws, Posted Worker Directive Regulations, government audits and internal travel policies. This position requires end‑to‑end management of the business visa, visa exemption and short‑term work permit process, ensuring excellent customer service to business travelers, internal stakeholders and senior leaders. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced subject‑matter expert in the field of global immigration, with the ability to advise and consult on complex issues, work independently on high‑level projects, problem‑solve and identify solutions for time‑critical business travel. Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent verbal and written communication and strong customer service skills. Proficiency in Apple iWork programs such as Keynote, Numbers and Pages. Expert knowledge of global immigration laws, particularly in relation to short‑term business travel. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Primary POC for all Americas region immigration matters, while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of global immigration policies.
Act as Quality Assurance manager for Apple’s immigration service providers, conducting quality control audits, providing regular feedback, ensuring accountability, addressing areas of underperformance and escalating relevant matters to the BTC manager.
Serve as account manager for Apple creative teams, including Apple TV Publicity, Fitness, Music and Vision Pro Group, providing customized global immigration requirements for publicity tours, short‑term filming, podcasts and other industry specific activities.
Manage complex immigration programs and projects, such as New Store Openings, Country‑Specific Expansions and Transit Exemptions, ensuring comprehensive risk management, pro‑active communications and excellent service delivery.
Research, interpret and cross‑reference immigration rules and guidance, utilizing government, embassy and airline websites and official Decrees.
Draft highly detailed and accurate internal communications, ranging from immigration bulletins, Q&As, Keynote presentations and travel policy documents.
Present confidently and professionally to C‑suite level employees, explaining critical policy updates, operational impacts and business continuity strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum BA/BS or equivalent.
At least 5 years experience managing business travel immigration services for a large, multi‑national tech company.
At least 10 years Senior Manager experience in a government / Civil Service immigration position for a M5 country. Senior level embassy or consulate experience preferred.
At least 3 years experience managing a global immigration law firm Consular Practice.
At least 5 years experience drafting, editing and publishing government immigration guidance and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in a second language (ideally Spanish or Mandarin).
Experience engaging with different government and ministry officials on immigration policy and operational matters.
Compensation and Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop in a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,400 and $237,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
