Position Overview:

Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) is seeking a Dishwasher Team Member to support the Dining Services team by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all kitchen and dining equipment. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow and contributing to a positive dining experience for guests. The Dishwasher Team Member will work closely with kitchen staff to uphold high standards of hygiene and efficiency in food service operations. The pay range for this position is $10-$15 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Sanitation:

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils using both machine and manual cleaning methods.

Sorting & Storage:

Organize dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils for cleaning; sort, stack, and store clean items in designated areas.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other housekeeping team members and housing services members to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks, contributing to a smooth operational flow.

Equipment Setup & Breakdown:

Properly set up and break down dishwashing machines and turbo sink.

Cleaning Duties:

Scrub pots, pans, and cooking utensils; remove trash, garbage, and recyclables to designated disposal areas.

Equipment Maintenance Reporting:

Identify and report any maintenance needs for Dining Services equipment to ensure reliable operation and to minimize downtime.

Work Area Organization:

Maintain clean, orderly, and well‑organized areas to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure easy access to supplies. Keep the dishwashing area clean, safe, and sanitary, always.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals, supplies, and operating equipment, ensuring a safe environment for employees, yourself, and guests.

Other Duties:

Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall operations of the Dining Services department.

Qualifications

Alignment with GLCC’s mission and values

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor, standing or walking, for extended periods.

Work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen and dining environment.

Exposure to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals.

Dependable, responsible, reliable with a cooperative attitude, and a willingness to learn

Detail‑oriented with the ability to work independently, or part of a team, with minimal supervision.

Prior kitchen or dining services experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule & Commitment

Seasonal position running from

April to October

(variable start and end dates available) with flexible scheduling based on organizational needs.

Typical work hours are rotating and flexible between

7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday–Saturday , schedule to be determined based on availability and organizational need.

Key Working Relationships

The Dishwasher Team Member will collaborate with all Dining Services Team Members, and other department staff members, including department directors, volunteers, work groups, and guests.
