Summary The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of product into the building, placement of product to highly efficient pickable locations, and then out into standard locations. This position will also be responsible for ensuring the split of inventory to bulk areas versus picking areas and must maintain awareness of upcoming customer Sales/Product Pushes/New Product Launches in order to optimize the flow of inventory throughout the warehouse. The Inventory Control Specialist is accountable for performing their duties consistently with the values and mission of Saddle Creek Corporation.
What You’ll Do
Work with client, client services, and inventory teams on daily inventory management as well as maintaining a constant flow of inbound product
Process several large data sets at once to determine the best possible slotting for inbound and existing SKUs
Create/Maintain/Implement inventory plans over the span of several weeks
Consolidation activities/bin cleanup
Review previous New Product Drops- fine tune storage solution ratios/placement
This role will be crucial to the successful daily operation of business
What We Need from You
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years in client facing role with data analytics
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Advanced Excel skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, WMS, or related inventory management systems
Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals by listening, sharing ideas and appreciating others’ efforts.
Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; possess solid judgment, problem solving and decision‑making skills
Must be able to pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check
Order Picker experience
Helpful Experience (Not Required)
Further education, such as an Associate’s (AA) degree
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, WMS, or related inventory management systems
Previous experience in a warehouse environment or in inventory control
