What you will do The Utility Operator provides entry‑level support in production departments within the plant in both cheese and cold storage. You will maintain safe, sanitary, and efficient plant areas, support operators as needed, and may be assigned to special duties.
Day in Life
Assist in setup, cleaning, and operation of towers, sealers, and boxers.
Maintain a clean work area and follow GMP standards.
Understand and use ERP/NAV interface.
Help troubleshoot equipment problems.
Perform housekeeping according to the Make Room MSS.
Other duties assigned by supervisor/lead.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Dependable, honest, ethical, reliable, and responsible.
1+ years of food production or manufacturing experience preferred.
Willingness to take on responsibilities, set goals, and learn.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interaction with staff at all levels.
Available to work 12‑hour night shifts on a rotating schedule, with every other weekend off, holidays, and Sundays covered.
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting of supplies with equipment.
Lifting up to 45 lbs at heights up to 55”.
Lifting and carrying to 45 lbs at waist height for 6 feet.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
