Service Technician – Commercial Dish Machines Equipment

Full-time field role based in Kansas City, MO. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial equipment and chemical dispensing systems for foodservice and hospitality customers.Schedule and Workload

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Local travel to customer sites; company vehicle provided

Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call rotations

Key Responsibilities — Service Technician

Install, start up, and calibrate dish machines, chemical dispensers, and rinse systems

Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues; complete on-site repairs

Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime

Train staff on safe operation, cleaning, and basic upkeep

Document work orders, parts usage, and service reports accurately

Maintain van stock, tools, and PPE; coordinate with dispatch and service leadership

Follow OSHA safety practices for electrical work and chemical handling, including SDS access and labeling under the Hazard Communication Standard.

Qualifications — Service Technician

High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred

1–3 years in field service or mechanical/electrical repair (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical)

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting; read schematics and manuals

Basic plumbing and wiring; use of diagnostic tools and service software

Valid driver’s license; clean driving record

Able to lift 50 lbs; bend, kneel, climb ladders; work in kitchens and similar environments

Preferred Qualifications — Service Technician

Experience with chemical dispensing systems

EPA 608 Type I (or willingness to obtain)

Familiarity with lockout/tagout and basic electrical safety practices
