Production Technician (Night Shift)

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and mechanically inclined Production Technician to join our growing operations team. The ideal candidate has a growth mindset and thrives in a dynamic, field‑based environment. You will collaborate with multiple teams to install, maintain, and improve our oil and gas infrastructure while driving continuous improvement across operations. This role requires strong problem‑solving skills, technical aptitude, and a hands‑on approach to daily tasks.
Roles And Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain infrastructure, wells, equipment, and facilities in the field
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues; conduct root cause failure analysis and implement solutions
Perform preventative maintenance and quality assurance reviews on existing equipment
Conduct pre‑ and post‑job reviews and data collection for job validation and compliance
Manage and oversee contractor work to ensure safety and optimal job execution
Communicate clearly with remote teams via phone, video, and virtual platforms to resolve issues
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, safety checks, and team process enhancements
Build relationships and actively assist teammates to drive operational improvements
Analyze data to support decision‑making and eliminate defects or variability in the operating model
Investigate third‑party or customer issues and provide timely solutions
Complete post‑construction checks and verification processes as required
Skills And Qualifications
High school diploma required; technical school certificate or degree preferred
Mechanical, electrical, or programming experience a plus
Experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, particularly in field operations
Familiarity with artificial lift systems (plunger lift, pumping units, compression)
Ability to leverage technology, data, and communication tools (e.g., Office 365, virtual assist)
Demonstrated adaptability and capacity to quickly learn new technical skills and concepts
Strong listening, interpersonal, and teamwork skills both in‑person and remotely
Ability to manage contractors effectively and ensure workplace safety
Physically able to meet the demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Details Location: Local to Shreveport, LA
Compensation: With truck $34/hr, Without truck $48/hr (W2)
Shift: Night/evening shift 5:30pm - 5am, 7days on 7 days off. No on call rotation.
