Cleaver Brooks is looking for a
Material Handler
to join our team in
Monroe, WI.
The Material Handler is responsible for the incoming and outgoing shipments of materials, pulling and verifying materials for production orders, and assisting with maintaining in-process inventory at work centers.

Job Location:

Essential functions:
Maintains and updates records of shipments coming in and out of the facility using IFS System.
Handles non-conforming material per procedures. Upon request, identifies unfilled orders on a job.
Prepares and loads Aftermarket orders for shipment.
Pulls materials with pick lists from IFS for packing for shipment to customers.
Packages items to be shipped, posting weight and shipping charges and affixes appropriate shipping labels. Make needed packing list for shipments.
Photographs content of product shipment to serve as record. Assign appropriate job number and place in active job file in computer system.
Unpack incoming shipments, checks shipping paper for proper information, inspects parts for damage and accountability, identifies parts, sets CODE material out for QC inspections. Assigns locations and labels material being received; routes items to departments.
Must have good communication skills.
Must know, understand and abide by all safety rules.
Aids in inventory and cycle counting activities as required.
Perform any other job duties in the plant as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
Basic Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Basic computer skills required.
Experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
Knowledge of inventory control position, e.g. storeroom operator, receiving, material handler or demonstrates a working knowledge of inventory movement and transactions.
Knowledge of computer ERP systems, inventory transactions and information screens.
Some knowledge of Excel and/or Access helpful but not required.
Ability to read, write and speak English well.
Operation of material handling equipment (forklift, two-wheeler, overhead cranes etc.) required.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities, be systematic and attentive to details and have a good attendance record.
Physical Skill & Effort:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. chest high; work requires a few simple, but rapid, hand operations. Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, and squat.
Working Conditions and Hazards:
Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding with both the inside and outside ambient temperatures; must be able to access all areas of the plant both inside and outside. Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt and welding fumes.
