A Taste of What You’ll Do Join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Assistant and play a hands‑on role in keeping our buildings safe, clean, and fully operational. Working under general supervision, you’ll perform routine service calls, cleaning and sanitation tasks, basic inspections, and assist with preventative maintenance on equipment like irrigation pumps, water heaters, ice machines, exhaust fans, and small electrical and refrigeration systems. You’ll handle small repairs and adjustments—painting, lighting, bathroom fixes, furniture moves—and escalates or supports more complex projects with Building Maintenance Mechanics.

You’ll follow a master sanitation schedule, coordinate work with operations leads, document activities in SAP, and help maintain inventory and departmental logs. Efficiency with materials and tools, attention to detail during inspections, and a willingness to learn through technical training are important. You’ll collaborate on problem‑solving, contribute to root‑cause and failure‑mode analyses, and consistently follow safety, environmental, and quality procedures to protect colleagues and product.

What You’ll Need

High school diploma or State‑issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of maintenance/handyman experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

Must be available to work weekends as needed.

Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.

Require to operate a forklift and boon lifts.

Required to lift 100 lbs as well as lift and carry 75lbs up flights of stairs and ladders.

Required to work on ladders, building rooftops and crawl through tight spaces (e.g. attics and basements).

Skilled in basic use of hand and power tools.

Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

Skilled in computer navigation for simple software programs to input job task information.

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events
