Job Description Student Dining Ambassadors play a key role in supporting the Marketing Department by delivering exceptional experiences through student engagement. They work as a team to reach sales goals and complete marketing projects that drive business profitability and growth. Viking Food Co.’s Dining Ambassadors serve as champions, guardians, advocates, and representatives of the brand.
Compensation Data Hourly rate: $13.00 to $13.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.

Job Responsibilities
Assisting with
promotions, limited-time offers, and meal plan sales —including working with food for sampling and tabling events
Supporting our
social media presence
Helping plan, prepare, and execute
theme nights, specialty events, and marketing campaigns
Providing
front desk coverage
and assisting guests with dining questions and directions, addressing concerns calmly and professionally, and relaying important feedback or recurring issues to the team
Taking
photography
at events and capturing content for promotions and LTOs
Hosting
weekly tabling events
and engaging with the CSU community
Hosting
game nights
at Viking Public House (e.g., Bingo, Trivia)
Representing Viking Food Co. at
freshman and transfer orientations , presenting meal plan options, locations, and program information
Assisting with more than
50 events per academic year , including pre-planning, setup, decorating, tabling, and food sampling
Building strong, positive relationships with supervisors and managers across all dining locations, as collaboration is essential for many projects
Because of these responsibilities, ambassadors must be:
Comfortable being on camera and appearing on our social platforms
Friendly, outgoing, and confident engaging with students, faculty, and staff
Strong communicators with great customer service skills
Able to represent Viking Food Co. positively and professionally at all times
In addition, the Marketing Department manages the
Viking Food Co. website ,
Viking Public House website , all dining
social media accounts ,
digital advertising , and the
Transact Mobile App . As a Student Dining Ambassador, you may be asked to assist with any of these areas.
Qualifications
Likes to have fun at work and demonstrates a sales-competitive nature
Background and interest in the following areas of expertise a plus: marketing, event planning, social media, sustainability, graphic design, and health and wellness
Desire to actively engage with customers to promote dining programs and services
Work well independently and with a team
Be a good role model who demonstrates professionalism
Self‑motivated and strong communicator with managers, customers, and parents
Must have a team‑player attitude, be dependable, reliable, and respectable; exemplify leadership qualities and professionalism with excellent customer service skills
Physical Demands: Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity, and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying, or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 25 pounds or more.
Available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Training & Expectations As a Dining Ambassador, you will receive the tools, training, and support needed to feel confident in your role as one of the faces of Viking Food Co. You will be expected to learn all aspects of our dining program—including locations, offerings, policies, events, and general operations—so that you can effectively communicate with both current and incoming students.
