Overview
The purpose of the Foodservice Sales Manager (FSM) is to be responsible for assembling and directing the team of Foodservice Sales Developers (FSD) to meet the company’s sales / market penetration strategy. The FSM forecasts regional revenues and coordinates the sales team’s efforts to meet those goals. Must be effective at closing key business goals, as set by the Director of Foodservice Sales. This role will establish trust, build relationships, and close on key business quickly while leading the team.
Work requires travel, primarily in assigned region with roughly 40% overnight (two days a week average). The average week would likely include 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days with field personnel
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the Foodservice Sales Developers within their regional areas
Compensation: $85,000 - 120,000K first year includes generous base salary, growth and new account bonus program, and management/leadership annual bonus.

Responsibilities Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Growth in Regions’ foodservice gross profit
Achievement of marketing/manufacturer program objectives
Achievement of specific product line penetration targets
Team building, leading to a culture built around success for the company and for the individual
Continually train and develop sales staff and maintain consistent training programs
Implement clear concise performance measures for each employee and conduct regular evaluations
Ensure that the company’s “go to market” strategies are successfully implemented and maximized by the sales department performance
Ensure that Foodservice Sales Developers meet or exceed sales, new account, new QSR, and gross profit goals
Inspire sales team to maintain a positive attitude and adapt to organizational changes
Work with Director of Foodservice Sales to plan regional revenue/margin forecasts and carry out objectives
Set targets for new customer account acquisitions and implement strategies to secure the business
Design Regional Foodservice sales department expense budget and forecast. Meet forecast targets
Work with Foodservice Sales Developers to ensure that regional sales targets are met
Hire, train, and coach Foodservice Sales Developers as required
Other duties as assigned by Director of Foodservice Sales
Key Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of general business principles, relationship building and new business development
Knowledge of sales and marketing — knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstrations, sales techniques, and sales operations
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of professional selling skills and experience in training and coaching professional sales staff
Skilled in effective communication and strong selling skills. Effective negotiation skills are a must
Skilled using a wireless technology, a PC and Microsoft Suite Products, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively by written and verbal skills
Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or Psychology
3 years’ experience in a high-level field sales management position
2-5 years’ experience in strategic planning and execution
Must be willing to show proven results from past employment opportunities
