Kennedy Catholic Preparatory School is looking for a math teacher to start in September 2025. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, communicate effectively and be able to
Teach all disciplines of high school mathematics
Integrate classroom technology into instructional methodology.
Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree with enrollment in Master's program in math education or closely related field considered. NYS teaching certification a plus. Prior teaching experience necessary.
Candidate must be able to reliably commute to Somers, NY or plan to relocate prior to commencing work.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in mathematics.
Manage classroom dynamics to create a positive learning environment.
Assess student progress provide individualized support as needed.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational experience.
Participate in ongoing professional development.
Mentor students and provide extra help when needed to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.
