The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.**Responsibilities:*** Assist in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.* Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE practices and procedures.* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.* Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.* Support emergency response planning and coordination.* Participate in safety committee meetings and other safety-related activities.* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HSE regulations.**Qualifications You Must Have:*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field.* 0-2 years of experience in a related field.* Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.* Knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE regulations.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Knowledgeable with a variety of occupational health & safety standards, EPA, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.* Demonstrated ability to conduct a job hazard analysis, site audits, and incident root cause analysis.* Fluency with data capture, data analytics, spreadsheets, and presentation.**Qualifications We Prefer:*** Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification.* Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.* Experience with DCMA INST 8210.* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.* Certifications, including Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST).**Essential Functions:*** Ability to conduct safety inspections and audits, which may involve walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods.* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.* Ability to work in various environments, including office, manufacturing, and outdoor settings.* Must be able to work in a team and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.* Ability to travel as required.* Proficiency in using computers and software applications related to HSE.At Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) we deliver customer-focused technology and best-of-breed integrations in the aerospace and defense sectors.
