Greet members and children in a positive manner, monitor policies for entry and exit of individuals in the Kid’s Club area to ensure the safety of all children in attendance.
Lead daily activities to entertain children such as craft projects, games, toys, etc. that are age-appropriate.
Be knowledgeable of all policies and ensure adherence to those policies at all times.
Create a positive, safe and comfortable space for parents and children.
Be receptive to feedback from parents including questions and concerns; appropriate follow up with supervisor for support as needed.
Lift and carry infants and toddlers as required to complete job duties.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate Wellness Center hours and member needs.
Complete knowledge of all emergency procedures and safety protocols.
Represent Humboldt Park Health positively and professionally.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Previous child care experience preferred.
Demonstrate exceptional listening and customer service skills; be social, outgoing, and friendly.
Maintain composure and act appropriately in moments when multiple unexpected challenges arise concurrently.
Computer proficiency as it relates to the job.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
