Position Overview We are seeking a Regional Payroll Specialist to join our small but engaged team based out of Bellevue. As a crucial member of our Regional HR team, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our North American employees (US and Canada), as well as assisting with compliance, audits, and related payroll activities. This is a hybrid position with both in‑office and remote work requirements.

Responsibilities

Review and audit timesheets and payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Process payroll for North American employees, including international transactions, in accordance with local labor laws.

Manage payroll taxes, benefit deductions, year‑end tax documents, and other payroll‑related duties.

Handle 401(k) contributions, understanding relevant laws, funding, and tax implications.

Utilize payroll systems to support payroll processing for US and Canada employees.

Maintain confidentiality and resolve any pay or benefits‑related inquiries or issues.

Experience with payroll platforms such as Paycom and Dayforce is preferred but not required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business or related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of full‑cycle payroll experience, including multi‑state payroll.

Accounting experience, preferably with billing and exposure to month/year‑end processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in payroll tax reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Office.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.

Familiarity with global payroll best practices and Ontario, Canada regulations.

Strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and ability to work well under pressure.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods in front of a computer.

Capacity to enter data for extended periods.

Must be able to lift 15–50 pounds occasionally.

Salary Range This is a Salary position with Elevate Outdoor Collective. The pay range for this role is $70,000‑$90,000 annually.
