For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $55,000 - $75,480 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Job Overview Schneider Electric is looking for a Project Accountant for their Lyndhurst, NJ team.
The Project Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the project team regarding contract modifications, compliance, payments, reports, and any other duties related to the project. Accountants are expected to occasionally travel to project sites for job status review meetings.
Responsibilities for Project Accountant Position
Review approved subcontractor billing for accuracy and within assigned timeline
Manage subcontractor compliance with terms and conditions of the contract, including bonds, insurance, waivers, billing accuracy, etc.
Confirm contract status for new subcontractor billing
Generate and accurately process monthly General Construction G702/703 requisition billing in a timely manner
Investigate any unbilled project costs
Assist in financial aspects of project close‑out
Additional assignments upon request of accounting supervisors
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar business degree.
3‑5 years’ experience in construction accounting
Knowledge of Dynamics
Knowledge of Excel
Proficient in G702/703 formatted requisition billing
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, high sense of urgency and ownership of work, with a demonstrated ability to manage deadlines.
Minimum 2 years prior experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper.
Experience in the construction industry preferred.
Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.
Strong communication skills.
Key competencies are communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability.
Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize
This position reports to the Office Manager in Lyndhurst, NJ.
