MHS is seeking a
Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) . This is an on‑site position that compensates between $144,569.00 – $193,000.00 plus benefits.
The Director of Career & Technical Education (CTE)
provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for the Career & Technical Education Program across grades 4–12. This role supports the Senior, Middle, and Elementary Divisions; the Managing Director of Scholastics; and school Principals in the planning, development, and daily operation of all CTE programming. The Director supervises and evaluates all full‑time and part‑time CTE faculty and staff, ensuring high quality programming for students.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the highest standards for curriculum scope and sequence, instructional quality, and evaluative practices across all CTE programs (grades 4–12)
Align curriculum to industry‑recognised credentials, post‑secondary expectations, and relevant accreditation requirements
Develop and coordinate internal and external partnerships with industry leaders, Hershey Entities, and post‑secondary institutions
Develop and enhance CTE student organizations that provide real‑world opportunities for students to demonstrate skills and talents
Research, evaluate, and coordinate the growth & enhancement of CTE programs to ensure a robust and relevant set of CTE program areas for Senior Division students
Ensure all CTE program areas include articulated, credit‑bearing post‑secondary opportunities
Conduct career technical program outreach to ensure MHS provides exceptional future focused CTE programming
Qualifications
Master’s degree in education, Career & Technical Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
Valid administrative certification (e.g., Principal, Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction, or CTE Director certification) desired, additional certifications in CTE program areas or industry‑recognised credentials are a plus
Five or more years’ experience leading and innovating a CTE program demonstrating a commitment to student success and workforce readiness
Proven ability to build and sustain partnerships with industry, post‑secondary institutions, and community organisations
Experience overseeing work‑based learning programmes, internships, and/or authentic work experiences
Proficient with accreditation standards, credentialing pathways, and articulated credit agreements
Strong data literacy and strategic planning and implementation skills
Strong organisational and project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead, build relationships, collaborate, and inspire
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
Candidates must be eager to actively engage with students beyond the scope of responsibilities
