North Shop: 4025 W Peterson Avenue
Central Shop: 4207 W 35th Place
South Shop: 38 W 64th Street
Peoples Energy Training Center: 4228 W 35th Place

Job Summary The Operations Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support field operations within an office setting. The various tasks may include but are not limited to, monitoring compliance workloads, analyzing data and utilizing reports, creating work orders, requesting permits, fielding calls from customers and field employees, and providing daily support to company and contracted field employees. The Operations Specialist will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular area, works under minimal supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks.
Job Responsibilities
Works across the company functionally to meet internal and external customer needs to help support field operations
Support operations and capital workloads and projects within an office setting:
Monitoring workloads to satisfy customer service requests and compliance requirements
Analyzing data and forecasting
Supporting Service (above ground) and Distribution (below ground) workloads
Creating work orders and assigning to field personnel
Requesting permits
Updating of company systems
Direct line of support to field personnel
Coordinating with shop management
Navigates and utilizes various customer information and operational systems to input, update, and change customer or system related information
Performs a variety of tasks and assists shop management to complete multiple assignments, projects and campaigns
Minimum Qualifications
5 + years – Standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
5 + years – Identifying and implementing solutions to problems
High School Diploma, HSED or GED
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in Open-cIS, PCAD Dispatch and MAXIMO
Experience in creating and assigning work orders
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to multitask
Self‑motivated but also works well within a team

Pay Range Minimum : $27.97
Pay Range Maximum : $45.45
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
