Procurement Manager – Packaging & Ingredients – Remote
(REMOTE, IL US). This position is remote and may have 1 direct report. My client, an industry leading global food manufacturing company, is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their team. This role focuses on procurement for packaging, dry ingredients, and produce to support safety, quality, and cost goals. The role leads end-to-end sourcing activities and collaborates with cross-functional partners to support production and new product development. Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategies for packaging, dry ingredients, and produce. Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including MRP-based purchasing, inventory optimization, supplier performance management, contracts, and RFPs. Partner cross-functionally with Supply Planning, R&D, QA, Sales, and Operations to support production and new product development. Drive cost reduction, process improvement, and quality initiatives. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Supply Chain or Business major preferred. 5+ years of packaging and ingredients procurement experience. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office; MRP experience preferred. Strong communication skills; ability to travel up to 20%. Ability to work independently.
