Overview This position reports to the
General Manager , Greenfield Facilities Engineering and the
General Manager , Drilling Operations for Chevron’s Shale & Tight Business Wells and Factory Execution teams, and is located in
Houston, TX . The Office Assistant provides a wide variety of confidential and administrative functions involving regular contacts with management, both within the company and with outside industry organizations. This position performs assignments with a high level of independence, initiative, discretion, accuracy, attention to details, flexibility in adapting to assignment changes and work schedule is mandatory. Confidentiality in this position is crucial.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining filing systems, booking travel, expense reporting and assisting with data entry.
Coordinating meetings and events, ensuring a smooth workflow within the organization.
Maintaining effective communication with GM, Leadership team and other business Office Assistants.
Daily and weekly engagement with GM and LT to align administrative support.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Prior experience in performing OA duties for a manager and team.
Proficient in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and office equipment operation.
Exhibits strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrates a proactive, results-oriented mindset with a focus on accountability and strategic decision-making.
Fosters a culture of trust, safety and compliance, ensuring that all activities align with Chevron's behaviors, operational standards, and best practices.
Adapt to changing conditions and challenges while maintaining a commitment to project goals.
Open to new challenges outside of existing scope to benefit the business.
This role requires a mandatory in-office presence of four (4) days per week (Monday-Thursday).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with Chevron's structure and OA network a plus.
