Responsibilities
Investigate, analyze, and adjudicate technically difficult and high‑exposure claims, developing action plans to drive timely and appropriate resolution.
Set, monitor, and adjust reserves; calculate and pay benefits; negotiate claim settlements and manage reserve adequacy throughout the claim lifecycle.
Manage the litigation process, coordinate defense counsel and vendors, control claim costs, and ensure effective and timely case progression.
Prepare and submit required NY state filings; manage claim recoveries including subrogation, Second Injury Fund, SSD, and Medicare offsets.
Maintain clear communication with claimants, clients, excess carriers, and internal stakeholders while ensuring accurate documentation, coding, and reporting.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience managing New York Workers’ Compensation claims, including complex, high‑exposure, litigated, and rehabilitation cases.
Minimum 2+ years of claims supervisory or lead experience, with the ability to provide oversight, guidance, and escalation support when required.
Active NY Adjuster License preferred; required to manage state filings and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory deadlines.
Strong experience in litigation management, reserve setting, benefit calculations, and negotiation of settlements within assigned authority.
Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage multiple priorities under strict service expectations.
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $38.46/hr.
Shift: Hybrid - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday to Friday.
Weekly paycheck.
