Medical Social Worker or Social Worker Assistant
to work with both
Home Health and Adult Hospice patients
in the
Southern San Luis Obispo areas (5 cities- Lompoc).
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying autonomy and flexibility, supported by clinical supervision from an experienced LCSW. Clinical supervision is available for candidate working toward licensure.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
in Sociology, Psychology, Human Development
Master's Degree
from a school
accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
Minimum of
one-year social work experience
in a healthcare setting, home health &/or hospice experience preferred.
Understand the "hospice philosophy" and issues of death and dying
Reliable vehicle to drive for work
Current Driver's license
Clean background & driving record
Maintain auto insurance coverage
CPR certified
Attributes:
Act calmly and professionally at all times
Strong organization and communication skills
Work well independently and in a team environment
High attention to detail and good follow up
