The
Sr. Automotive Technician
will assess vehicles to accurately diagnose equipment failures, perform removals and replacements of parts, and repair mechanical or electrical issues as needed. This role will handle routine maintenance and work on a variety of domestic and foreign vehicles. This position requires specialized knowledge in diagnosing and repairing engines, electronic systems, suspensions, brakes, and heating & air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities
Use manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot issues and potential problems.
Perform high-quality repairs, including replacing worn, old, or defective automotive parts.
Test repaired parts and systems to verify proper function and performance.
Maintain accurate logs and records of all work performed.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and ensure all equipment and tools are maintained in safe, usable condition.
Strictly adhere to Dent Wizard’s safety practices, policies, and protocols.
Assist in training, developing, and mentoring less experienced Technicians.
Other Duties as Assigned Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in automotive detailing, inspections, or reconditioning preferred but not required (paid training provided).
5+ years of professional automotive mechanic experience.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues efficiently.
Genuine desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles.
Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
Willingness to travel locally or regionally; flexible schedule including weekends if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree, Vocational/Technical degree, or equivalent in Automotive Technology (preferred but not required).
Advanced training or specialization in engines, electronic systems, drive trains, suspensions, brakes, HVAC, or related areas.
Experience working with a diverse range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Physical Job Requirements
Viewing from and inputting data into a smart device.
Occasionally travel up to 50% - depending on assignment.
Physical stamina to frequently kneel, bend and squat, as well as lift up to 45 pounds.
Physical ability to bend, kneel, and work in various conditions (e.g., outdoors, loud/noisy environments with intermittent odors).

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
The starting compensation is expected to be:
$28.00 - $30.00/ Hour
