Job Description: CNC Cutting Machine Operator / Batch Operator

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM
Starting Pay: $16.00/HR
Review: 90‑day performance review with potential for raise
Position Summary This cross‑trained position supports Kifaru’s production operations by operating the Pathfinder CNC Cutting Machine as well as performing Batch Operator duties. The role requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality, safety, and production efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities Pathfinder CNC Cutting Operations
Operate Pathfinder L & M Series cutting machines and FabricPro spreader
Load, align, and secure fabric lays for cutting
Verify cut files, materials, and job settings prior to cutting
Monitor cutting operations and address minor issues
Perform first‑piece and ongoing quality checks
Minimize material waste and maintain accurate cut output
Perform routine cleaning, blade changes, and basic maintenance
Communicate issues related to materials, files, or machine performance
Batch Operator Duties
Operate up to four batching machines simultaneously
Measure, weigh, and stage materials accurately per specifications
Monitor batching processes and perform basic troubleshooting
Maintain accurate batch records and documentation
Conduct routine quality checks throughout production
Lift and move materials weighing up to 70 lbs as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Safety & Quality
Follow all safety procedures and machine operating guidelines
Use proper PPE when required
Maintain consistent quality standards across cutting and batching operations
Immediately report safety, quality, or equipment concerns
Qualifications & Skills
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC equipment
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and organization
Basic computer skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs
Reliable, dependable, and team‑oriented
Success in This Role
Accurate, consistent cut and batch output
Minimal material waste
Strong communication with production teams
Safe, efficient, and organized work habits
