About the Role – Pollination Field Associate We’re looking for energetic, hands‑on individuals to join our team for the upcoming almond season. You’ll be in the field supporting research trials, collecting data, and helping ensure our pollination programs run smoothly.
Seasonal: Early February start, 4-5 weeks assignment
What You’ll Do:
Execute pollination services with growers
Support R&D trials and collect key field data
Maintain accurate daily records and field notes
Tag crops systematically for research purposes
Work efficiently across multiple fields to meet targets
Share feedback to improve future projects
This role is perfect for someone who loves working outdoors, contributing to cutting‑edge agricultural research, and making a real impact on food production.
Qualifications
BS in Entomology, Agronomy, Plant Sciences, Biology, Ecology, or equivalent preferred
Availability for a full‑time seasonal position starting in late January or the first week of February, with a duration of 5–6 weeks.
Field research experience
Interest in pollination and/or agriculture
A valid driver’s license and confidence in driving for long periods of time
Ability to communicate clearly, consistently, and promptly.
Familiarity with Google Suite
Comfortable working independently in the field with support from remote manager
Must be detailed oriented
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred
Currently living in Merced (CA) area.
Work Environment
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
Ability to work with bees and wear appropriate protective equipment
Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
Must be comfortable working with bees and getting stung
Compensation Target: 23/ hourly
Beeflow reserves the ability to adjust the compensation range based on the final candidate’s experience, skillset, and geography.
