Job Description
GardaWorld is the world’s largest privately owned security services company, providing cash management solutions across the full supply chain. The role of Lead Teller is critical to ensuring accurate and timely handling of customer deposits, balances, and cash operations.
Job Purpose
Lead Tellers supervise and process the verification of customer deposits and orders, with responsibilities that include currency and check counting, packing change orders, data entry, and daily fund reconciliation.
Responsibilities
Ensure all monies declared on a customer’s deposit are credited before the customer receives verification credit. Verify immediate credit teller process and create a manifest for all after‑8 pm same‑day credit customers to confirm deposits are accounted for on the following day. Validate currency teller function to confirm all monies declared on a deposit ticket are correct before credit. Verify stripping teller process and cash‑in substitutes to ensure daily verification and credit of cash, independent of checks. Perform ATM teller functions and verify ATM canister contents against processing receipts, replenishing funds as needed. Report promptly to the lead teller and money room supervisor any issues with deposit setup or preparation. Report totals to the supervisor and customer through backup documentation. Clean and maintain teller equipment and keep the processing area free of clutter. Tag tubs for verification with bank ID, I/C dollar amount, and I/C count for next‑day verification.
Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Cash handling experience required. 1–2 years of teller and supervisory experience preferred. Advanced computer skills. Detail‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Working Conditions
The position is indoors within a teller cubicle. The work area can vary in temperature, may have dust, and noise levels may range from moderate to loud.
Essential Physical Requirements
Walk, stoop, bend, or carry objects up to 50 lbs. Normal or corrected vision and hearing (device use permitted). Sit and stand for prolonged periods.
