Overview
IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for the Laboratory Technician position at its facility in Greeley, CO.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (required); Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or related field (preferred)
1+ year of laboratory experience (preferred)
Experience with food testing and/or analytical instrumentation (preferred)
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
Responsibilities This is a position in wet chemistry and duties will include:
Gravimetric/titrimetric testing methods (pH, moisture, fat, protein)
Sample receiving, preparing samples for analysis
Analyzing samples via written SOPs, evaluating/interpreting data
Troubleshooting problems, disposing of samples
Cleaning/sanitizing the laboratory and equipment, performing daily QC
Other duties as assigned, including sample preparation coverage in our Microbiology Lab when necessary
Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 – $18.00 hourly (DOE). This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
Schedule The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:30am – 4:00pm (with a 30 min lunch off the clock).
